Construction is starting on the ACT Government’s North Wright sustainable house precinct.

As part of the Government’s work to encourage more medium density development, the townhouses will offer Canberrans a sustainable, low cost, high amenity form of housing.

Comprising a total of 43 townhouses, the project aims to showcase a range of sustainable, accessible and affordable housing initiatives.

The project will ultimately deliver 43 climate-wise., net zero townhouses on compact blocks sized 200m² to 250m². A number of sustainability features will ensure each dwelling has an energy efficiency of 7 to 8.6 Stars.

Design for the remaining 20 townhouses in Stage 2 is starting soon. These townhouses will aim to demonstrate Passive House design standards, prefabrication and a minimum of 8 Star energy efficiency.
