Amaroo Group Centre
This new shopping space is ideally positioned on Horse Park Drive, one of Gungahlin’s major arterial roads. It is nestled between the existing suburbs of Amaroo, Bonner and Jacka and is immediately adjacent to Amaroo School and a service station.

This significant urban renewal project will restore and activate the near-forgotten Brickworks industrial site and immediate surrounding areas. The scope of the development spans approximately 16 hectares and is comprised of Blocks 1, 7 and 20 Section 102 Yarralumla.
City to the Lake
City to the Lake is a transformational project within Canberra’s City Plan that builds on Walter Burley Griffin’s enlightened foundations. It is a long term and visionary project that will guide public and private investment in Canberra’s second century.
City to the Lake is to be a world class urban waterfront precinct that extends the city centre towards Lake Burley Griffin and connects it to its central parklands.
Ginninderry is a community with a difference, designed to cater to Canberra’s needs as a growing city. It will extend across the ACT/NSW border* to the west of Belconnen and is being developed in joint venture with Riverview Developments Pty Ltd. The community will eventually have around 11,500 homes, of which 6,500 will be in the ACT.
Gungahlin Town Centre
Gungahlin Town Centre is a lively hub in the fast growing district of Gungahlin in Canberra’s north. Over the past two decades, Gungahlin has become home to nearly 50,000 residents. Northbourne Ave Corridor
The Dickson Flats are located on the corner of Northbourne Avenue and Morphett Street in Dickson.
The Northbourne Avenue Corridor has been identified in the City Plan as an area for significant growth and will involve redevelopment of Government-owned residential and non-residential properties on Northbourne Avenue. The redevelopment will create an environment that promotes a vibrant mix of residents, businesses and retail space and an invigorated gateway to Canberra.
Southquay Greenway will be the newest Mixed Use development on the shores of Lake Tuggeranong, consisting of 1,000 dwellings and more than 3,000 square metres of commercial space in the heart of the Tuggeranong Town Centre.
The entire urban precinct comprises thirteen blocks with development on both sides of the lake and will be built in stages, including the western side between Anketell Street and the lake and the eastern side between the lake and Drakeford Drive.
Many Canberrans are embracing urban renewal in our city by building their new home in existing suburbs. On a larger scale, the evolution of Canberra to meet its potential as a larger city is well underway through a range of urban renewal projects in the CBD and the town centres.
In addition to this, over the coming years, an unprecedented number of residential blocks in established areas will become available for purchase from the ACT Government from across 56 suburbs in Tuggeranong, Weston Creek, Woden, Belconnen, the Inner North and the Inner South. These are the remediated blocks from the Loose Fill Asbestos Eradication Scheme.
Blocks that have been remediated and determined by experts to be free of loose fill asbestos have been removed from a register of affected houses and will either be offered back to the previous owner to purchase through a First Right of Refusal process or placed on the open market for sale by auction by the LDA.
