About Amaroo Group Centre
The Amaroo Group Centre is centrally located within Canberra’s fastest growing region of Gungahlin which has a current population close to 50,000.
This new shopping space is ideally positioned on Horse Park Drive, one of Gungahlin’s major arterial roads. It is nestled between the existing suburbs of Amaroo, Bonner and Jacka and is immediately adjacent to Amaroo School and a service station.
The Amaroo Group Centre will be a central link for the local and surrounding communities to live and shop. Coles supermarket will be the full-line anchor tenant with plans to be operational by early 2017, it will be surrounded by Mixed Use, retail, commercial, community services and residential development.
An Estate Development Plan Development Application (EDP DA) for the Amaroo Group Centre was approved in May 2012.
By early 2017, future residents can look forward to a future Coles full line supermarket sized between 2,300m2 to 2,500m2 . The supermarket site was released in 2012-13 and includes 6,900 m2 Gross Floor Area and a maximum of 65 dwellings.
A number of sites surrounding the supermarket site including a Mixed Use site, single detached residential and single attached residential blocks, a childcare facility and a community use facility were auctioned in November 2013, view the sales results.
