Crace is being developed as a joint venture between the LDA and Crace Developments Pty Ltd which is a consortium led by CIC Australia (as project manager and majority partner of the consortium), Defence Housing Australia (DHA) and CHC Affordable Housing. Crace is a master planned community and the whole suburb has HIA Greensmart© accreditation – a Canberra first – and a special arrangement with Greening Australia is offsetting emissions during the development process. This means sustainability and lifestyle factors have been taken into account. The master plan ensures Crace will be easy to get around – on foot, on your bike or by car. There’s a logical, grid-style street pattern, and streets have been designed to complement the undulating nature of the site, opening up vistas to surrounding hills and views to Black Mountain and the Brindabellas. Street trees, indented car parking and ample street lighting will make the streets of Crace inviting and safe to walk. The Crace Demonstration Village is a great place to get a taste of the Crace lifestyle. There are nine superb HIA GreenSmart® Accredited homes on display.
