Building Sustainable Communities
The Land Development Agency supports the building of sustainable communities through a range of activities, including community consultation, socially sensitive urban design, early creation of community facilities, new resident programs, and sponsorship of events and activities.
We involve the community actively in whatever we do because we believe community consultation is a must for proper urban planning and implementation. Our experience and research tells us that more involvement brings better results for all concerned.
Franklin Charity House
The Land Development Agency was pleased to collaborate with the Master Builders Association of the ACT on the 2012 Franklin Charity House project. The project aimed to provide a high amenity, cost competitive dwelling that was released for sale by auction and sold on 2 March 2013. The funds raised have gone to charities serving ACT homelessness.
