The category of Public Sector Leadership for Urban Development was open to all government agencies and local councils in Sydney and regional NSW. Judges and industry peers were impressed with LDA taking the role in planning and delivering such an innovative project - working with 18 partner builders and showcasing 22 innovative homes, the largest Display Village in Canberra at the time.
The HIA Australia Housing Awards are judged by industry professionals and acknowledge the skills and ability of builders and organisations that show excellence and quality in the planning and construction of housing.

The Kingston Foreshore Sewer Pressure Rising Main is a 1.2 kilometre sewer rising main linking the new Kingston Foreshore development with an existing sewer located under Brisbane Avenue. The complex project engineering enabled the major new sewer line to be installed in an established part of Canberra with minimum disruption to the existing environment including the established trees that line Wentworth Avenue and Brisbane Avenue, and the existing built environment.
