Community Consultation and Engagement
The Land Development Agency (LDA) is dedicated to achieving new standards of innovation, excellence and value in urban design and sustainable development. As an agency that develops and sells land on behalf of the ACT Government, our aim is to build better communities for the benefit of Canberrans.
Current Consultations and Notifications
Furzer Street, Precinct, Phillip
Following extensive discussions with the ACT Planning and Land Authority, the Land Development Agency has decided to withdraw two of the three Development Applications it had submitted for the land bounded by Melrose Drive, Furzer and Corinna Streets and Aviation House.
Block 14 Section 48 Belconnen
This site is proposed for high density residential development, and ground floor commercial space. The release of this site has been delayed until further notice.
Block 17 Section 152 Belconnen
This site is proposed for high density residential development, and ground floor commercial space. The release of this site has been delayed until further notice.
Campbell Section 5
Campbell Section 5 is Territory land, located on the northern edge of Constitution Avenue and to the east of Anzac Parade. The site is within a designated area under the National Capital Plan (NCP).
Previous Consultations
Southquay Greenway
The LDA has commenced preparation on the Greenway Master-plan, including Sections 10, 57, 58, 59, 65 and 66. The Greenway sections scheduled for land release are on the south-western side of Lake Tuggeranong and to the south-eastern edge of the existing Town Centre. Click here for more information.
Moncrieff Residential Housing Estate
The community is invited to provide comment on the draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the proposed Moncrieff Residential Housing Estate development.
Canberra Brickworks and Environs Planning Strategy
The ACT Government, through the LDA are working with a multidisciplinary team of designers and planners to prepare a planning strategy for the Yarralumla-West Deakin area, with a particular focus on the Canberra Brickworks and surrounds. (Read More).
Lawson
The LDA invited the public to comment on the Preliminary Documentation between 20 February 2012 and 21 March 2012. No public comments were received and consequently no changes have be made to the Preliminary Documentation.

Amaroo Group Centre
As part of the ACT Government’s Indicative Land Release Programs 2010-11 to 2013-14, Block 2 Section 106 Amaroo has been identified as the proposed location of the Amaroo Group Centre. The proposed development of the centre is planned to include a supermarket. (Read More).
Block 799 Gungahlin
On behalf of the Commonwealth, the LDA invited comments on the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Preliminary Documentation for Block 799 Gungahlin. The LDA's response, and a summary of the public comments, are now available. (Read more).
Kingston Section 49 - Cultural Precinct
Consultation has now completed to enable the preparation of a masterplan for Kingston Section 49. This area is often referred to as the Kingston Cultural Precinct. It includes the Power House, Fitters' Workshop, Former Transport Depot and the temporary gravel surface parking. The Kingston Section 49 Masterplan will provide a framework for the future development of the area. Click here for more information.
Nicholls Community Village
The ACT Government has announced that the Nicholls Community Village site will now be developed as a school by the Catholic Education Office.
Block 19 Section 73 (formerly Block 11 Section 73) Nicholls
The LDA completed earthworks on Block 19 Section 73 Nicholls on 29 July 2011. (Read more).
Jacka 1 Estate
The LDA engaged Indesco Consulting Engineers to undertake the planning, design and documentation of the Jacka 1 Residential Estate in Gungahlin. (Read more).
Block 92 Section 24, Stirling
The ACT Government is proposing to release to the market commercial land in Stirling.

Gladstone Street, Fyshwick
An area of land in Fyshwick along Gladstone Street has been identified for sale to allow the development of industrial and commercial premises. In conjunction with the construction of infrastructure on the industrial land, there will be a roundabout constructed at the intersection of Gladstone Street and Kembla Street, Fyshwick. (Read more).
